Co-Founder & Manager of Commonwealth Energy Partners (CEP) & CEP Solar, Virginia-based renewable energy companies whose mission is to Empower Virginia’s Clean Economy. Prior to launching CEP, Tyson served as Vice President of Development at Apex Clean Energy (Apex) where he led a team across the eastern US, including Apex’s growth into the Virginia market. Before Apex, he spent seven years with EDP Renewables in various roles from corporate operations in Houston, Texas to project development in Portland, Oregon. He served eight years on the Board of Mid-Atlantic Renewable Energy Coalition (MAREC) and is currently serving a sixth term on the Virginia Renewable Energy Alliance (VA-REA) Board. Tyson was born in Danville, raised in Winchester, schooled in Harrisonburg, and resides in Richmond.
